How Is It That We Need Therapy?

Updated: Oct 14

Our human messiness is inevitable. We do not necessarily notice that we are getting to that point where some compassionate intervention would be useful. In this screen grab from my website, www.manawafamilyconstellations.com the slippery slope is noted, and the fact that most of us have neither the insight to know what has happened, nor the tools to adjust the set. Well, we do but our wise looking inwards has become obscured, and we prefer to see what other people's problems are. I chose the word manawa for my constellations work, because it has the truly delicious and apt meaning heart, breath, emotion, and one more - bowels, but that has not such a ring to it even though it too is vital, and then, it spoils the rule of three. No, not of Elisabeth Gilbert's eat pray love word trilogy, but teachings in te reo and tikanga Maori that I have been extremely fortunate to have had from wonderful *knowledge carriers. I am just a baby in that sphere, but remember their admonition well.
